Bailey Scarano is very proud to announce that the recipient of this year’s Alan P. Bailey and Michael J. Schaefer Memorial Accounting Scholarship is Branford High School graduating senior, Hannah Antonino.

Hannah Antonino

Hannah is a stellar student but also dedicated to improving her community through her participation in the Excel and Exchange clubs at her school. With a mission of “inspiring communities to become better places to live,” these clubs are particularly focused on raising money and awareness around child abuse prevention. Club members collect safety and comfort items to distribute to children who are removed on short notice from dangerous home environments. Hannah is a founding member and Treasurer for the Excel club at BHS.

The scholarship was awarded at a special ceremony at BHS on June 10thand was attended by David Bailey and Jane Farrington, Michael Schaefer’s widow. Hannah plans to use the scholarship to help pay for her first year at the University of New Hampshire where she intends to major in business and marketing.

This special scholarship was established in 2016 and provides $500 each year to a graduating senior from BHS who will be seeking a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting.

“We’re proud to continue providing this scholarship to local students,” says David Bailey. “We hope this award helps them as they work to achieve their academic and career goals.”
