Bailey Scarano Partner Dominic (Dom) Scarano Jr., CPA, CGMA, was recently honored with the Dr. Babar Distinguished Service Award by The Friends of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
Dom received the award during The Friends’ 2026 Annual Meeting on September 24 at Yale New Haven Hospital. The recognition reflects his longtime involvement with the organization, where he currently serves as Treasurer and has served on the board for six years.
The Friends of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital brings together community members committed to improving the health and well-being of children and their families. The volunteer organization supports clinical care as well as educational and outreach programs at the hospital. Its work has included funding and support for programs addressing a variety of children’s health and safety needs.
Dom’s involvement reflects Bailey Scarano’s belief in supporting the community it calls home and giving back to the people and organizations that make it a great place to live and work. His years of service to The Friends are one example of how members of our team put that commitment into action.
“I’ve always believed that giving back to the community is important, and The Friends provides a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families who are going through difficult times,” said Dom. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to work alongside people who care so deeply about the hospital and the families it serves. I’m grateful for this recognition, but even more grateful to be part of an organization doing such meaningful work.”
We’re proud to see Dom recognized for the time, expertise, and commitment he has given to an organization doing important work for children and families in Connecticut. Congratulations, Dom, on the well-deserved honor.
